Meet Dr. Wittpenn
Dr. Gregory Wittpenn created the name New Horizons Plastic Surgery to reflect both a new beginning with the opening of his practice in Nacogdoches, as well as to describe the effect that cosmetic surgery can have for you. We welcome you to our practice.
Education, Training, and Service
Dr. Gregory Wittpenn received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with magna cum laude honors from the University of Miami. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of South Florida, later completing residencies in general surgery at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi and in plastic surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Wittpenn attended the prestigious Christine Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky for special training in hand surgery, and completed fellowship training in pediatric and craniofacial plastic surgery at the world famous Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
In addition to serving 12 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Wittpenn has received board certification in general surgery, plastic surgery, and hand surgery. He has served at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio as the head of the Division of Plastic Surgery. Most recently, Dr. Wittpenn worked with the Scott and White Clinic in College Station while serving as an assistant professor of surgery for Texas A&M College of Medicine.
Dr. Wittpenn has more than twenty years of service as a plastic surgeon, and brings a wealth of experience in all areas of plastic surgery to his patients. Says Dr. Gregory Wittpenn; "I have always enjoyed the varied and extensive nature of plastic surgery. The creative nature of our field is what attracted me to plastic surgery in the first place. From the routine removal of facial skin cancers, to the functional reconstruction of hand surgery, to the challenge of reconstructing a child disfigured by a birth defect; all of these skills apply to the rejuvenation sought in cosmetic surgery."

Anessia Miller - Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Coordinator
Anessia works the front desk, schedules appointments, and greets each patient as they enter New Horizons Plastic Surgery. A very friendly and affectionate person, she is the wife of her loving husband, Kendrick Miller. Together they decided to adopt their handsome son, Kendre Miller, and beautiful daughter, Kennedy Miller, to be a part of their lives. The children are little angels sent from God to bless the Miller family. Anessia enjoys helping others and says she wants to spend her life continuing to help others; she feels that is what makes life worth living. Bonnie Wittpenn - Nurse Practitioner
Bonnie is our nurse practitioner. She is intimately involved in the pre-operative preparation and post-operative care for our surgical patients. Bonnie brings an extensive nursing background including critical care, home health, and most recently her position as a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide a comprehensive and caring approach to help you through your surgery. Combined with being a mother of three, she has all bases covered. Bonnie has also received additional training in all aspects of skin care and manages that aspect of our practice; from daily products to chemical peels and laser resurfacing utilizing the Lumenis® UltraPulse for Total FX or Active FX management of aging skin.
Cindy Triana - Patient Coordinator
Cindy is our patient coordinator, consulting with patients regarding financial arrangements and handling all insurance claims. Cindy is energetic and greets each New Horizons patient with a smile. She is a self-described "people-person," and her patient care philosophy is simple: treat them like family. Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Cindy has been in the medical field for over 24 years and loves serving her native Nacogdoches community. She enjoys reading, visiting with family and friends, watching movies, and taking walks with her dog, Snapper.
